- Can responsibilities be delegated safely?
- A work request has an owner, a priority, a due date and a status. Assign it and that person is notified; close it and it lands in the animal history with their name and the time on it. Nothing depends on remembering who said what.
- Can I see the colony without doing the data entry?
- Yes. The census, breeding efficiency and activity reports are generated from the records your team keeps, so looking is free, you do not have to run anything or ask anyone to prepare it.
- How do I know the numbers are real?
- Every record carries a full history of changes and their authors, and the audit trail is retained indefinitely by default, any figure can be traced back to the entry behind it.
Oversight that does not create work
Role-based access means a student can record observations without being able to change protocol data. Expected against actual litter size is reconciled per pairing, so unnecessary breeding is visible rather than inferred.
